Rep. Dan Houx, a Republican, represents parts of Johnson and Pettis County (District 54) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2016, reelected in 2018 and 2020. He was presented with legislator of the year by the St. Louis Homebuilders Assoc. and Farm Bureau’s Friends of Agriculture.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Houx has been a real estate developer/ homebuilder and a licensed Realtor. He is the past Chairman of the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce, a current member of Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce, Military Affairs Committee, Base Community Council, and a past board member on Johnson County Economic Development Corporation and Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

Rep. Houx graduated from Kemper Military School in Boonville, MO.

Rep. Houx was born in Warrensburg, MO and is the 6th generation of his family born in Johnson County and the 7th generation to live there. He currently resides in Warrensburg with his wife.
