Weslaco, TX – Albert Lee Green, age 93, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2021. On February 25, 1928, he was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and given the name Albert Donald Thomas. At age five, he was adopted by Lee Morrow Green and Carolyn Hancock Green and given the name Albert Lee Green. Lee grew up as an only child in San Juan, Texas, attended PSJA High School, and graduated from Kemper Military School in 1947. He graduated from Texas A&I College in Kingsville in 1951 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, served in the U.S. Air Force 1951-1955 as a non-commissioned officer (Staff Sergeant) during the Korean War, and followed in his father’s footsteps into the banking business.
